About the Role

Our client, a leading civil engineering consultancy based in Leicester , is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team. This pivotal role involves taking ownership of significant projects, from initial concept through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be instrumental in mentoring junior engineers, fostering a collaborative project environment, and contributing to the firm's reputation for excellence in civil infrastructure design and project management. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, transportation, and development schemes.
• Manage project lifecycles, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality control procedures.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and address any on-site engineering challenges.
• Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, drawings, and contract documentation.
• Mentor and guide junior civil engineers and technicians, fostering their professional development.
• Liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and contractors throughout the project duration.

Requirements

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with professional qualification (e.g., MICE) highly desirable.
• Significant experience (typically 5+ years) in a similar Senior Civil Engineer role, with a proven track record of project delivery.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
• Strong understanding of UK building regulations, planning policies, and relevant legislation.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in site supervision and contract administration.
