Senior Civil Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Leicester . This pivotal role involves leading and managing a variety of challenging civil engineering projects from conception through to completion, ensuring all projects meet stringent quality, safety, and environmental standards. You will play a key role in mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the strategic growth of the company, working on infrastructure projects that are vital to the local community and beyond. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, planning, and execution of complex civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, transportation, and land development.
• Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and produce detailed technical reports and project proposals.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure successful project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building regulations, health and safety legislation, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate project objectives and maintain strong working relationships.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field, coupled with Chartered Engineer status (e.g., MICE, MIStructE).
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and PDS.
• Strong understanding of UK building codes, planning regulations, and construction methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
