Senior Civil Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly organized and experienced Senior Civil Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of infrastructure projects in and around Belfast . This critical role involves the full lifecycle management of projects, from initial planning and tendering through to successful completion and handover. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while managing project teams and stakeholders effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of civil engineering projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Oversee project execution, ensuring compliance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Lead and motivate project teams, including engineers, site staff, and subcontractors.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, government bodies, and other project stakeholders.
• Identify and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to prevent delays and cost overruns.
• Prepare regular project progress reports, financial forecasts, and contractual documentation.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction management discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in managing civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, contract management, and relevant legislation.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Professional qualification such as MAPM, MCIHT, or similar is advantageous.
