About the Role
Our client, a dynamic engineering firm, is looking for a seasoned Senior Civil Project Manager to join their team, operating on a fully remote basis. This role is pivotal in overseeing the successful execution of civil engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage project teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and implement robust project management methodologies. This is an ideal position for an experienced manager who thrives in a remote setting and is passionate about delivering impactful infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple civil engineering projects concurrently.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure optimal project outcomes.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
- Implement and adhere to rigorous project management processes, quality control, and risk management strategies.
- Proactively identify and resolve project challenges and deviations from the plan.
- Ensure all project activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in managing complex civil engineering projects, preferably in a consultancy or main contractor environment.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, essential for remote team management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure in a remote work setting.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
