About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join their IT and Software team in Portsmouth . This role is integral to the design, implementation, and management of our cloud infrastructure, ensuring its scalability, reliability, and security. You will play a key part in migrating services, automating deployments, and optimizing cloud resources to support our growing business needs. Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployments and infrastructure provisioning.
Monitor cloud resource performance, security, and costs, implementing optimizations as needed.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and operation.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or a similar infrastructure role.
Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Proficiency with IaC tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of networking, security principles, and system administration.
