Senior Cloud Network Engineer - Telecoms

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage secure and scalable virtual private clouds (VPCs) and network architectures on leading cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewalls, security groups, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems within cloud environments.
• Automate network provisioning, configuration, and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Monitor cloud network performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize for cost and efficiency.
• Collaborate with application development and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration of services within the cloud infrastructure.
• Stay current with cloud networking best practices, emerging technologies, and security threats, and apply them to enhance the client's network posture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 4 years focused on cloud networking.
• Deep understanding of networking concepts and protocols within cloud environments (VPC, subnets, routing, load balancing, DNS).
• Proficiency with at least one major cloud provider's networking services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Bash).
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer Associate) are highly desirable.
