Senior Cloud Security Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join their distributed engineering team, operating in a fully remote capacity. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security controls across multi-cloud environments, working closely with DevOps and development teams to embed security throughout the application lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain security solutions for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Implement and manage cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, network security, and data encryption.
• Automate security controls and processes using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Conduct security assessments of cloud environments and applications, identifying and remediating vulnerabilities.
• Respond to security incidents within the cloud infrastructure, performing forensic analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure security is integrated into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in information security, with a strong focus on cloud security engineering.
• Proficiency in securing cloud environments such as AWS , Azure , or GCP.
• Experience with security automation tools, scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash), and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Solid understanding of container security, network security principles, and encryption technologies.
• Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate) are a significant advantage.
