Senior Cloud Security Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join their fully remote team, contributing to the security posture of their cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security controls and solutions across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to protect sensitive data and systems. This role demands a deep understanding of cloud security best practices, threat landscapes, and defensive strategies. You will play a critical part in safeguarding our client's assets, ensuring compliance, and fostering a security-conscious culture across the organization, working in a fully remote setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage security solutions for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Implement and maintain security monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests.
• Respond to security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and implement remediation plans.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle (DevSecOps).

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on cloud security.
• Proven expertise in securing major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong understanding of network security principles, cryptography, and identity and access management (IAM).
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, WAF, IDS/IPS.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
