About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Lawyer to join their established legal team in Wolverhampton . This hybrid role offers a dynamic mix of remote working and essential office-based collaboration. You will take the lead on complex commercial transactions, provide strategic legal advice, and mentor junior members of the team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in commercial law, a proactive mindset, and the ability to navigate intricate legal challenges while fostering strong business relationships. This is a key role with significant responsibility within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the negotiation and finalization of high-value commercial contracts and strategic partnerships.
Provide expert legal counsel on complex commercial issues, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
Oversee the legal aspects of major projects and business development initiatives.
Develop and implement robust commercial legal frameworks and policies.
Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and legal staff within the department.
Collaborate closely with senior management and various business units to align legal strategy with business objectives.

Requirements

Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with 8+ years of experience in commercial law .
Proven expertise in leading complex contract negotiations and high-value transactions.
Strong understanding of corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
Adaptable and effective in a hybrid working environment.
