About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative Senior Computational Biologist to join their pioneering team focused on applying Artificial Intelligence to medical research. This is a fully remote position where you will play a critical role in developing and implementing computational strategies to analyze complex biological data, driving advancements in diagnostics and therapeutics. Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute computational analyses of large-scale biological datasets, including omics, imaging, and clinical data.
- Develop and apply machine learning models and AI algorithms to uncover biological patterns and predict therapeutic responses.
- Collaborate with domain experts (biologists, clinicians, data scientists) to define research objectives and analytical roadmaps.
- Implement and optimize bioinformatics pipelines for data processing, integration, and visualization.
- Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge computational tools and methodologies into existing workflows.
- Contribute to the preparation of research findings for publication and presentation at scientific venues.
Requirements
- PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in computational biology, with a strong emphasis on AI/ML applications.
- Demonstrated expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and programming (Python, R).
- Experience working with diverse biological datasets and integrating multi-modal data sources.
- Familiarity with biological databases, ontologies, and pathway analysis tools.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a remote team environment and communicate complex concepts clearly.
