Senior Computational Biologist - Drug Discovery

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and apply advanced computational and statistical methods to analyze complex biological datasets for drug discovery .
• Identify and prioritize potential drug targets by integrating multi-omics data and pathway analysis.
• Collaborate closely with medicinal chemists, biologists, and pharmacologists to guide experimental design and interpret results.
• Build predictive models for compound efficacy, toxicity, and target engagement.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of our client's internal data infrastructure and analysis tools.
• Communicate complex findings clearly and effectively to both computational and non-computational audiences.

Requirements

• PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in computational biology or a related field, with a focus on drug discovery .
• Strong programming skills in Python or R, and experience with scientific computing libraries.
• Proficiency in analyzing large-scale omics data (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics).
• Experience with machine learning techniques and their application to biological problems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a distributed, remote team environment.
