About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly imaginative and experienced Senior Concept Artist to contribute to the creation of next-generation video games, working entirely remotely. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for defining the visual identity of game worlds, characters, and props, bringing imaginative concepts to life through stunning artwork. You will collaborate closely with game designers and art directors to establish a cohesive and compelling aesthetic that resonates with players worldwide. Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality concept art for characters, environments, props, and key art that defines the visual style of games.
- Collaborate with game designers and art directors to iterate on ideas and translate them into visual representations.
- Develop detailed visual targets and mood boards to guide the 3D art team and maintain artistic consistency.
- Explore and present diverse artistic directions, pushing creative boundaries while adhering to project requirements.
- Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to junior concept artists and the wider art team.
- Maintain a strong understanding of current trends in game art and visual design.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Concept Artist in the game development industry.
- Exceptional artistic skills, with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in character, environment, and prop design.
- Proficiency in digital painting software such as Photoshop, Corel Painter, or equivalent.
- Understanding of form, perspective, anatomy, color theory, and composition.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote team structure.
- Experience with real-time game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) is a plus.
