Senior Concept Artist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly imaginative and skilled Senior Concept Artist to join their creative team in Nottingham . You will be instrumental in defining the visual style and aesthetic of new projects, creating compelling concept art for characters, environments, and props. This role requires a deep understanding of art fundamentals, strong visual storytelling abilities, and the capacity to translate ideas into stunning concept pieces that inspire and guide the broader art and design teams. You will be a key contributor to the imaginative worlds developed within the Arts & Entertainment sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality concept art for characters, environments, vehicles, and props based on project briefs and direction.
• Develop and iterate on visual styles, ensuring consistency and clarity across all concept art deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with directors, game designers, and other artists to explore and refine visual ideas.
• Produce polished marketing art, including key art and promotional illustrations.
• Maintain an organized library of concept art assets and contribute to style guides.
• Mentor junior concept artists, providing feedback and sharing knowledge on artistic techniques.

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience as a Concept Artist in games, film, or animation.
• A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional artistic skills, creativity, and a diverse range of styles.
• Proficiency in digital painting software such as Photoshop , Procreate, or similar.
• Solid understanding of anatomy, perspective, color theory, lighting, and composition.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to receive and implement feedback effectively.
