About the Role

Our client is seeking an imaginative and skilled Senior Concept Artist to join their vibrant creative studio in Plymouth . This role is central to defining the visual identity of our client's upcoming projects within the arts and entertainment industry . You will be responsible for generating innovative and compelling visual designs for characters, environments, and props, translating ideas into tangible concepts. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented artist to contribute their vision to visually rich and engaging productions.

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality concept art for characters, environments, props, and key scenes.
• Collaborate closely with art directors, game designers, and directors to develop visual styles and aesthetics.
• Explore multiple design directions, iterating quickly based on feedback.
• Develop detailed mood boards, colour palettes, and visual target documents.
• Ensure consistency in style and quality across all concept art produced.
• Contribute to the overall visual storytelling and artistic direction of projects.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Concept Artist in games, film, or animation.
• Exceptional artistic skill with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of styles and subjects.
• Proficiency in industry-standard digital painting software such as Photoshop.
• Strong understanding of composition, color theory, anatomy, perspective, and lighting.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
