Senior Concept Artist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and imaginative Senior Concept Artist to join their talented art team. You will be at the forefront of visual development, creating compelling concept art for characters, environments, and props that define the aesthetic of our projects. This role requires a deep understanding of visual storytelling, form, colour, and composition, as well as the ability to translate ideas into tangible visual references. You will collaborate closely with directors and art leads to establish and maintain the visual style, contributing to a visually rich and immersive experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality concept art for characters, environments, props, and key art.
• Develop and iterate on visual styles and themes for projects.
• Collaborate with directors, art leads, and other departments to define and refine visual direction.
• Provide clear visual documentation and mood boards to guide the production team.
• Contribute to the overall artistic vision and quality of the project.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Concept Artist in the games, film, or animation industry, with a strong portfolio.
• Exceptional skills in digital painting, sketching, and 3D concepting.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, perspective, lighting, colour theory, and composition.
• Proficiency in industry-standard art software (e.g., Photoshop, Procreate, Blender).
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative studio environment and meet deadlines.
