About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly experienced and results-oriented Senior Construction Manager to lead significant construction projects in the Bristol area. You will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and control of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This leadership role demands a strong strategic vision, excellent financial acumen, and the ability to manage large teams, complex stakeholders, and challenging site conditions effectively. You will be pivotal in driving project success and upholding the company's reputation for excellence in construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Manage project teams, including site staff, subcontractors, and consultants, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage client relationships and communicate effectively with all project stakeholders.
- Control project costs and ensure profitability targets are met.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in construction management, with a track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, regulations, and contract management.
- Relevant degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in project management software and financial reporting tools.
