About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Planner to join their dynamic, fully remote team. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing complex project schedules for major construction initiatives across the UK. This role demands exceptional foresight, analytical ability, and expertise in planning software to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively. You will collaborate with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders using advanced digital collaboration tools, providing critical insights into project timelines and resource requirements, all from the convenience of your home office.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed, logic-linked construction project schedules using industry-standard software.
• Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, milestones, and resource requirements.
• Analyze project progress, identify potential delays, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and present comprehensive planning reports, including critical path analysis and look-ahead schedules.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to communicate planning information and manage expectations.
• Mentor and guide junior planning engineers on best practices and software utilization.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years' experience in construction planning and scheduling.
• Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or Asta Powerproject.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and sequencing.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex project data.
• Proven experience in a senior planning role on large-scale construction projects.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote team environment .
