Senior Construction Planner

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Construction Planner to join their dynamic team, supporting projects based in and around Sheffield . This role is pivotal in developing, managing, and monitoring complex project schedules to ensure timely delivery and resource optimization. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to create realistic and achievable construction plans, utilizing advanced planning software. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work remotely and on-site, ensuring close collaboration with project execution teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain detailed construction master schedules for large-scale projects.
• Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, milestones, and critical path activities.
• Utilize planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject) to create and update schedules.
• Analyze progress against the plan, identify variances, and develop recovery strategies.
• Produce regular progress reports and visual aids for senior management and clients.
• Conduct constructability reviews and risk analysis related to project sequencing.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in construction planning and scheduling, particularly on major projects.
• Proficiency with industry-standard planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Asta Powerproject.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and site operations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of project stakeholders.
• Relevant degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is advantageous.
