Senior Consultant – Trades & Labour, Civil Engineering

Senior Consultant – Trades & Labour, Civil Engineering SOS Group | North of England | Competitive basic + uncapped commission + clear progression

We’re heading into our third year after a very strong second year. We’ve built our name by supplying the best Project Managers, Site Agents, Engineers and supervisory staff in Civil Engineering. Our clients keep asking us one question: “Can you supply the trades and labour too?”

We’re launching a new Trades & Labour division to meet that demand. We’re looking for a Senior Consultant with a strong, loyal network of trades and labour to help build it from the ground up.

The opportunity

You’ll have a head start most consultants never get. Our founders have spent their careers building relationships with Tier 1 contractors, regional contractors and specialist sub-contractors. You’ll be introduced to those clients from day one. Turning those introductions into a growing headcount, and winning new clients on top, is down to you.

Most of our contracts run for 12 months or more. That lets you build a large, stable contractor book with recurring revenue.

Joining at the start of a new division puts you in a strong position to grow with it. As the division grows, there’s a clear path into leadership.

What you’ll be doing

• Bringing your network of trades and operatives to our existing clients

• Supplying trades and labour on the sites we already staff with management and engineering teams

• Winning new clients and opening up new sites through business development

• Growing your candidate pool, including groundworkers, pipelayers, plant operators, steel fixers, formworkers, banksmen and general operatives

• Managing compliance and onboarding, including CSCS/CPCS/NPORS checks, right to work and timesheets

• Building and managing a stable contractor headcount

• Helping to shape how the new division works as it grows

What we’re looking for

• An established network of trades and labour candidates in Civil Engineering who will follow you

• Proven experience supplying trades and labour to Civil Engineering or Construction sites

• Strong business development skills and a track record of winning and growing accounts

• Experience building and keeping a contractor headcount

• Drive and ambition to grow with a new division

• A commitment to quality that matches our reputation for supplying the best people in the industry

What’s on offer

• Competitive basic salary plus uncapped commission

• Warm introductions to an established client base from day one

• Long-term contracts that support stable, recurring revenue

• A clear path into leadership as the division grows

• A real say in how the new division is built

• The backing of a fast-growing business with a strong name in Civil Engineering
