Senior Corporate Counsel - Remote

About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking international company, is looking for an accomplished Senior Corporate Counsel to join their expanding legal team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. You will be instrumental in advising on complex corporate transactions, commercial agreements, and corporate governance matters. The role requires a proactive individual with a strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, distributed environment. You will contribute to the strategic legal direction of the company, working autonomously and collaboratively across global teams, with a focus on delivering exceptional legal support regardless of location, providing the core legal function for operations which may span from Plymouth to global markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute complex M&A transactions, joint ventures, and other strategic corporate projects.
• Draft, review, and negotiate high-value commercial contracts and partnership agreements.
• Provide expert legal advice on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Support the board of directors and senior management on legal and strategic matters.
• Oversee and manage external counsel relationships globally.
• Develop and implement effective legal strategies to support business objectives.

Requirements

• A qualified solicitor or barrister with at least 7 years' post-qualification experience in corporate law.
• Extensive experience in handling cross-border M&A and significant commercial agreements.
• Proficiency in corporate governance, securities law, and compliance.
• Exceptional negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a demanding workload in a remote setting.
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
