Senior Corporate Counsel

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Corporate Counsel to join their dynamic legal team in Aberdeen . This pivotal role involves providing comprehensive legal support across a range of corporate and commercial matters, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk. You will be instrumental in advising on strategic initiatives, managing contracts, and supporting the business's growth objectives within the legal framework. Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and commercial transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, and partnership agreements.
• Manage and advise on intellectual property matters, including trademarks, patents, and licensing.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex legal issues relevant to the business operations.
• Support the legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate restructuring activities.
• Oversee litigation and dispute resolution processes, working closely with external counsel when necessary.

Requirements

• A qualified solicitor or barrister with a minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience in corporate law.
• Proven experience in providing in-house legal counsel or extensive experience in a leading law firm's corporate department.
• Strong understanding of UK company law, contract law, and relevant regulatory frameworks applicable to our client's industry.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure in a hybrid work environment .
