About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Corporate Lawyer to join their dynamic legal team based in Aberdeen . This pivotal role involves handling a diverse range of corporate and commercial legal matters, providing expert advice to businesses across various sectors. You will be instrumental in supporting client transactions, drafting complex agreements, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on a broad spectrum of corporate law matters, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate restructuring.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, service agreements, and other legal documents with precision and clarity.
• Conduct thorough legal due diligence for transactional work, identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with UK company law, regulatory requirements, and industry-specific legislation.
• Manage a caseload of complex legal matters independently, providing strategic guidance and timely solutions.
• Mentor junior legal professionals and contribute to the team's knowledge base and professional development initiatives.

Requirements

• A qualified solicitor or barrister with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in corporate law.
• Demonstrated expertise in transactional corporate finance, M&A, and commercial contract law.
• Proficiency in conducting detailed legal research and analysis.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Familiarity with the energy sector or other key industries relevant to Aberdeen is advantageous.
