About the Role

Our client, a prominent cultural institution in Norwich , is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Curator of Exhibitions . This role is responsible for the conceptualization, development, and execution of engaging and impactful exhibitions that align with the institution's mission and collections. You will lead a curatorial team, conduct extensive research, and collaborate with artists, lenders, and designers to bring exhibitions to life. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a forward-thinking exhibition program, encompassing research, interpretation, and display.
• Lead and mentor curatorial staff, fostering a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment.
• Source and secure loans from national and international institutions and private collections.
• Write compelling exhibition texts, catalogue essays, and public-facing materials.
• Oversee exhibition budgets, timelines, and the installation process, ensuring high standards of presentation.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Art History, Museum Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in curatorial work, with a proven track record of organizing significant exhibitions.
• Demonstrated expertise in exhibition development, research, and collections management.
• Strong understanding of art historical contexts and contemporary art practices.
• Excellent writing, communication, and project management skills.
