Senior Cybersecurity Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and skilled Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to strengthen their security operations center in Brighton . Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from various security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR) to detect potential threats.
• Conduct in-depth investigations into security incidents, including root cause analysis and remediation planning.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance overall security posture.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address weaknesses.
• Respond to security breaches and manage incident response activities effectively.
• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
• Provide security awareness training and guidance to internal staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity , incident response, or security operations.
• Strong knowledge of security principles, protocols, and technologies (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, encryption).
• Experience with SIEM tools, threat intelligence platforms, and vulnerability management systems.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
