Senior Cybersecurity Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join their dedicated security team in Reading . You will be responsible for protecting our digital assets by monitoring security threats, analyzing vulnerabilities, and implementing robust security measures. This role requires a deep understanding of network security, threat intelligence, and incident response protocols. You will play a crucial part in safeguarding the organization against cyber threats, ensuring compliance with security standards, and contributing to a secure technological environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and logs from various systems (SIEM, IDS/IPS) to detect and investigate potential threats.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Manage and maintain security tools and technologies.
• Respond to and manage security incidents, performing forensic analysis and remediation.
• Provide security awareness training to employees.
• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity , with a focus on threat analysis and incident response.
• Proficiency with SIEM tools, vulnerability scanners, and other security technologies.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and common attack vectors.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
