Senior Cybersecurity Consultant

About the Role

Our client requires a seasoned Senior Cybersecurity Consultant for a contract position, primarily working remotely with occasional client site visits to Wolverhampton . You will provide expert advice and strategic guidance to clients on a wide range of cybersecurity challenges, including risk assessment, threat intelligence, and security architecture. This role demands a deep understanding of current threats and robust defense strategies, coupled with excellent client management and communication skills to deliver high-impact security solutions and foster strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity risk assessments and penetration tests for clients.
• Develop and present strategic security roadmaps and recommendations to executive stakeholders.
• Advise clients on security best practices, regulatory compliance, and threat mitigation strategies.
• Lead security architecture reviews and design secure solutions for complex IT environments.
• Provide expert guidance on incident response planning and disaster recovery strategies.
• Deliver security awareness training and workshops to client teams.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Extensive experience (8+ years) in cybersecurity consulting or a senior security role.
• Proven expertise in penetration testing , vulnerability management, and threat modeling.
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2), and industry regulations.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and client-facing skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, OSCP are essential.
