Senior Cybersecurity Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Cybersecurity Consultant to join their advisory practice in Glasgow . In this client-facing role, you will provide expert guidance on a wide range of cybersecurity matters, helping organisations strengthen their defences, manage risks, and achieve compliance. You will conduct assessments, develop strategies, and advise on the implementation of security solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse clients across various industries, tackling complex security challenges and making a tangible difference to their security posture. The hybrid model allows for flexibility while maintaining essential in-person collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity risk assessments and gap analyses for clients.
• Develop and present strategic security recommendations, roadmaps, and implementation plans.
• Advise clients on security best practices, regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS), and security governance.
• Lead client engagements, managing project scope, timelines, and deliverables effectively.
• Assist clients in developing and refining their incident response and business continuity plans.
• Deliver security awareness training and workshops to client stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity consulting or a similar advisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, network security, application security, and cloud security.
• Excellent client management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CISA are highly advantageous.
