Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join their fully remote, high-performing security team. This role is critical in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced security solutions that protect the organization's digital assets. You will tackle complex security challenges, develop automated security processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a robust security posture. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions and infrastructure.
• Develop and deploy security automation tools and scripts to enhance efficiency and response times.
• Conduct in-depth security analysis, threat hunting, and incident response activities.
• Oversee the configuration and maintenance of security technologies (e.g., WAF, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP).
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and security analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity engineering roles.
• Expertise in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container security.
• Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, PowerShell) for automation.
• Strong understanding of network security, endpoint security, cryptography, and identity management.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
