About the Role

Our client, a leading technology firm in Reading , Berkshire, is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Data Analyst to join their growing data science team. You will be responsible for extracting, transforming, and analyzing large datasets to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions and improve performance across various departments. This role requires a deep understanding of statistical analysis, data visualization, and a passion for uncovering trends and patterns within complex data, contributing to strategic planning and operational efficiency within the tech hub of Reading .

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and process large datasets from various sources to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Perform in-depth statistical analysis, identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and develop predictive models.
• Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data processes, methodologies, and analysis results.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation, and experience with statistical programming languages like Python or R.
• Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense) for creating insightful reports and dashboards.
• Solid understanding of statistical methods, machine learning concepts, and data modeling techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, suited for a hybrid work environment in Reading .
