Senior Data Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Data Engineer to join their growing team in Nottingham . Key Responsibilities

• Design, construct, install, and maintain highly scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.

• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data needs and provide robust solutions.
• Implement data governance policies and security best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with various database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Strong programming skills in Python or Scala, with experience in data processing frameworks like Apache Spark.
• Experience building and managing ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Airflow or DataFactory.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
