Senior Data Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems and pipelines.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses and data lakes.
• Optimize data retrieval and processing for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their data requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
• Implement data quality checks and ensure data governance standards are met.
• Monitor data systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure data availability and integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of data warehousing and big data technologies.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, or equivalent.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
• Strong programming skills in Python or Scala.
