Senior Data Scientist

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and insightful Senior Data Scientist to join their analytics team in Leeds . In this pivotal role, you will leverage advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to extract valuable insights from complex datasets, driving data-informed decision-making across the organization. You will work on challenging problems, developing predictive models, and communicating findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sophisticated machine learning models for predictive analytics, classification, and clustering.
• Analyze large, complex datasets using statistical methods and data mining techniques to identify trends and patterns.
• Design and conduct A/B tests and other experiments to validate hypotheses and measure impact.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models into production environments.
• Communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in data science or a related analytical role.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Deep understanding of statistical modeling , machine learning algorithms, and experimental design.
• Experience with big data technologies and tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and SQL.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills, with experience in a hybrid work setting .
