About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join their cutting-edge analytics team, offering a fully remote working arrangement. Based remotely, you will spearhead the development and deployment of advanced machine learning models and data-driven solutions to extract actionable insights from vast datasets within the energy industry. This role requires a deep understanding of statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and data visualization to solve complex business problems and drive strategic decision-making. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers and business stakeholders, to translate data into tangible business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, train, and deploy sophisticated machine learning models and algorithms.
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and predictive insights.
- Design and implement A/B tests and other experiments to validate hypotheses.
- Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with data engineers to build robust data pipelines and ensure data quality.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science and artificial intelligence.
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the team's technical growth.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in data science or machine learning roles.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong experience with SQL and database technologies.
- Demonstrated ability in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and experimental design.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for explaining complex technical concepts.
