Senior Delivery Driver

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and reliable Senior Delivery Driver to join their logistics team in the heart of London . You will be responsible for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to various commercial and residential locations across the city and surrounding areas. This role requires a professional attitude, excellent knowledge of London's road network, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a senior member of the team, you will also assist in training new drivers and contribute to the optimization of delivery routes and schedules, playing a crucial role in the efficiency of our client's operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily delivery routes efficiently, ensuring all packages are delivered on time.
• Safely operate and maintain company vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service upon delivery, confirming receipt and addressing any client inquiries.
• Load and unload goods as necessary, ensuring proper handling and security of all items.
• Assist in the training and onboarding of new delivery drivers, sharing best practices and company procedures.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.

Requirements

• Valid UK driving license with a clean record, and preferably an HGV/LGV license.
• Proven experience as a professional delivery driver, ideally with experience in London logistics.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to changing schedules.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction and team collaboration.
• Physical ability to lift and move packages of varying weights.
