Our client is seeking an experienced and reliable Senior Delivery Driver to join their dynamic logistics team based in Leicester . As a senior member of the team, you will not only be responsible for your own deliveries but also contribute to mentoring newer drivers and maintaining operational efficiency. You will operate a modern fleet of vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies, representing the company professionally at all times. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily delivery routes efficiently to meet strict deadlines.
• Safely operate a commercial vehicle, ensuring it is kept clean and well-maintained.
• Load and unload goods with care, verifying delivery contents against dispatch orders.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or issues professionally.
• Assist in training and mentoring new delivery drivers, sharing best practices and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and report any vehicle issues or delivery discrepancies promptly.

Requirements

• Hold a valid UK Category C+E driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Proven experience as a professional driver, preferably with experience in multi-drop deliveries.
• Excellent knowledge of road networks and traffic laws within the Leicestershire area.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting and maneuvering packages as required.
