About the Role

Our client is looking for an accomplished Senior Design Architect to lead creative vision and design direction for a range of significant projects based in Reading . This role requires a passionate architect with a strong portfolio, exceptional design flair, and the ability to translate complex client requirements into innovative and functional architectural solutions. You will lead design teams, mentor junior staff, and collaborate closely with technical specialists to ensure design integrity from concept through to completion. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design development process for key architectural projects, setting the creative vision.
• Develop innovative design concepts and present them compellingly to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure designs are technically sound, compliant with regulations, and meet sustainability goals.
• Collaborate with architectural technologists and engineers to refine designs and prepare detailed documentation.
• Mentor and guide junior design staff, fostering creativity and technical skill development.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends in architectural design, materials, and technology.

Requirements

• A professional qualification in Architecture (e.g., RIBA Part III or equivalent).
• A minimum of 5-7 years of post-qualification experience, with a strong focus on design leadership.
• An outstanding portfolio showcasing design excellence on diverse project types.
• Proficiency in industry-leading design software, including Revit , SketchUp , and Adobe Creative Suite .
• Thorough understanding of UK planning legislation and building regulations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
