About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their established technology team based in Cardiff . This critical role will focus on enhancing and maintaining the company's cloud infrastructure, automating deployment pipelines, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of their services. You will work closely with development and operations teams to foster a culture of collaboration and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software builds, testing, and deployments across various environments.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS or Azure, ensuring high availability, security, and cost-efficiency.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system health and performance.
- Collaborate with software development teams to troubleshoot issues, improve deployment processes, and enhance application resilience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role, with a strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) and experience with infrastructure as code tools.
