Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join their growing IT infrastructure team based in Milton Keynes . In this crucial role, you will be responsible for building, automating, and scaling our client's cloud infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of their applications. You will work closely with development and operations teams to streamline deployment pipelines, implement robust monitoring solutions, and foster a culture of operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment and testing.
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize stability and efficiency.
• Establish and enforce security best practices across the infrastructure environment.
• Collaborate with software development teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or Systems Engineering role.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS , Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
• Solid understanding of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef).
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and logging systems.
