Senior Digital Artist - 3D Modeling

About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Senior Digital Artist specializing in 3D modeling to join their innovative game development studio in Southampton . You will work within a multidisciplinary team, translating concepts and art direction into high-quality 3D models, textures, and environments. Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 3D models, textures, and materials for characters, props, and environments according to art direction.
• Optimize 3D assets for real-time rendering engines, ensuring performance and visual fidelity.
• Collaborate closely with the art lead, game designers, and technical artists to achieve desired aesthetic and technical goals.
• Participate in art reviews, providing constructive feedback and incorporating revisions.
• Develop and maintain efficient 3D modeling workflows and best practices.
• Research and implement new techniques and technologies to enhance asset quality and production efficiency.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in 3D modeling for games or animated productions.
• Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in modeling, texturing (PBR workflow), and sculpting.
• Proficiency in industry-standard 3D software such as Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, ZBrush, and Substance Painter.
• Solid understanding of game development pipelines and engine requirements (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity).
• Excellent artistic eye, with a strong sense of form, proportion, and detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
