Senior Drilling Engineer - Remote

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive drilling plans and programs, including well design, casing, cementing, and fluid selection.
• Manage and execute drilling operations, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and operational best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for potential drilling hazards.
• Optimize drilling parameters to improve rate of penetration (ROP) and minimize non-productive time (NPT).
• Oversee the procurement and management of drilling equipment and services.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior drilling engineers and operational teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Drilling Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in drilling engineering, with a proven track record in complex operations.
• In-depth knowledge of drilling technologies, including directional drilling, managed pressure drilling (MPD), and advanced logging tools.
• Proficiency in drilling simulation software and project management tools.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, essential for remote team collaboration.
