Senior Drilling Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage comprehensive drilling programs and operational plans, including well design and trajectory.
• Oversee all aspects of drilling operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage drilling equipment, services, and contractor performance on-site.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential drilling hazards.
• Monitor drilling performance metrics, analyze data, and implement improvements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior drilling engineers and site personnel.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company HSE policies.

Requirements

• Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in drilling engineering, with significant exposure to diverse well types and operational environments.
• Proven expertise in well planning , directional drilling, casing design, and cementing operations.
• Strong understanding of drilling fluids, formation evaluation, and well control principles.
• Experience with drilling project management, cost control, and performance tracking.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
