Senior Drilling Engineer

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Drilling Engineer to join their fully remote technical services team. This position is central to planning and executing complex drilling campaigns across diverse geological settings. You will utilize advanced drilling technologies and methodologies to ensure safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness from your home office. Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage complex directional drilling programs, including well trajectory planning and anti-collision analysis.
• Select appropriate drilling fluids, casing designs, and completion strategies based on geological and operational requirements.
• Develop detailed cost estimates and operational plans for drilling projects.
• Oversee and provide technical support to drilling operations, troubleshooting issues and optimizing performance remotely.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Conduct post-well analysis and performance reviews, documenting lessons learned for future operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in drilling engineering, including offshore and/or challenging onshore environments.
• Expertise in directional drilling, well control, and drilling automation technologies.
• Proficiency with industry-standard drilling simulation and planning software.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex drilling projects successfully in a remote setting.
• Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
