Senior Drilling Supervisor - Onshore Operations

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and safety-focused Senior Drilling Supervisor to manage and direct onshore drilling operations in the Southampton area. This critical role ensures that all drilling activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in strict adherence to company policies and industry regulations. You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of drilling crews, equipment, and service providers, maintaining meticulous oversight of well construction processes. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all aspects of onshore drilling operations on a daily basis.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental (SHE) policies and procedures.
• Monitor drilling performance, track key metrics, and implement measures to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage drilling equipment, materials, and services, ensuring availability and suitability for operations.
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to drilling crews and contractors.
• Maintain accurate daily drilling reports and communicate operational status to management.

Requirements

• Significant experience in drilling operations, with a strong background as a Drilling Supervisor.
• Proven ability to manage drilling crews and contractors effectively and safely.
• In-depth knowledge of drilling techniques, equipment, well control, and associated risks.
• Relevant certifications in drilling operations and safety management.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a demanding, field-based environment near Southampton is essential for this role within the Oil & Gas industry .
