Senior Drilling Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Drilling Supervisor to oversee drilling operations in the vicinity of Portsmouth . This critical role involves direct supervision of drilling crews, ensuring that all operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for rig site operations, equipment integrity, personnel management, and achieving drilling targets. This position is vital for the successful execution of our drilling programs in the Oil & Gas industry .

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily drilling activities on the rig, ensuring adherence to the drilling program and safe operating procedures.
• Manage and mentor rig personnel, promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring proper training and competency.
• Monitor drilling parameters, equipment performance, and well conditions, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure the integrity and proper functioning of all drilling equipment, coordinating maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain accurate drilling logs and reports, documenting operational progress, challenges, and key decisions.
• Liaise with onshore drilling engineers and management to communicate operational status and resolve issues.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in drilling operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven experience in onshore or offshore drilling operations.
• Strong knowledge of drilling techniques, well control principles, and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., IWCF Level 3 or higher) are highly desirable.
