About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior E-commerce Analyst to join their data-focused team in Glasgow . This role is essential for providing deep insights into customer behavior, sales performance, and marketing effectiveness to drive strategic decision-making for the e-commerce business. You will work with complex datasets to uncover trends, identify optimization opportunities, and report on key performance indicators. This is a critical on-site role where your analytical prowess will directly influence the company's online strategy and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets related to website traffic, conversion rates, customer segmentation, and sales performance.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key e-commerce KPIs and provide actionable insights.
- Conduct A/B testing and other experiments to optimize website design, user experience, and marketing campaigns.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data, and translate them into strategic recommendations for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
- Stay current with industry best practices in e-commerce analytics and data visualization tools.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an E-commerce Analyst or similar data analysis role, with a strong focus on online retail.
- Expertise in using web analytics platforms like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar.
- Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools, such as SQL, Excel, and potentially Python or R.
- Strong understanding of statistical concepts and experience with A/B testing methodologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an office environment located in Glasgow .
