Senior E-commerce Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and analytical Senior E-commerce Analyst to join their team in Plymouth . This role is pivotal in driving strategic decision-making by providing deep insights into customer behavior, sales performance, and market trends within the e-commerce space. You will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, identifying key opportunities, and communicating actionable recommendations to stakeholders across the business. This is an office-based position where collaboration and in-depth analysis are key.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze website traffic, user behavior, conversion rates, and sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key e-commerce KPIs and present findings to management.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of customer segments, purchase patterns, and lifetime value to inform marketing and product strategies.
• Perform A/B testing and other experiments to optimize website performance, user experience, and conversion rates.
• Identify potential issues or risks within the e-commerce operations and propose solutions.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to provide data-driven insights and support strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an E-commerce Analyst , Data Analyst, or Business Intelligence Analyst, with a focus on online retail.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, Google Analytics, and BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent understanding of e-commerce metrics, KPIs, and the customer journey.
• Experience with A/B testing methodologies and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
