Senior Early Years Practitioner

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Early Years Practitioner to join their reputable nursery in Oxford . In this role, you will take a lead in delivering outstanding early years education and care, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the nursery's provision. You will be instrumental in creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment for children, ensuring adherence to the EYFS framework and promoting positive child development. Key Responsibilities

• Support the management team in the day-to-day operations of the nursery, taking a lead in specific areas or rooms.
• Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that meet the needs of all children, following the EYFS curriculum .
• Mentor and support less experienced practitioners, sharing expertise and best practices.
• Conduct accurate observations and assessments of children's progress, contributing to their learning pathways.
• Ensure compliance with all safeguarding, health, and safety regulations, promoting a secure environment for children.

Requirements

• A recognised Level 3 or above qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
• Substantial experience working in an early years setting, with demonstrable leadership potential.
• In-depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and child development.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach to professional development and a passion for delivering high-quality childcare.
