Senior Educational Psychologist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Educational Psychologist to join their dedicated team, providing crucial support to schools and educational settings in and around Bristol . This role involves conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, providing expert advice and interventions to support children's learning, behaviour, and emotional development. You will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to promote positive outcomes for students. This hybrid position offers a blend of remote work for administrative tasks and on-site consultations, providing flexibility while ensuring direct impact within educational communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of children and young people to identify learning, behavioural, and emotional needs.
• Provide specialist psychological advice, consultation, and intervention to schools, parents, and other professionals.
• Develop and implement evidence-based intervention strategies to support student wellbeing and academic progress.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of training programmes for educational staff and parents.
• Engage in research and contribute to the professional knowledge base of educational psychology.
• Manage a caseload effectively, ensuring timely completion of assessments and reports.

Requirements

• Postgraduate qualification in Educational Psychology (e.g., Doctorate or Masters) with relevant professional accreditation (e.g., HCPC registration).
• Substantial post-qualification experience working as an Educational Psychologist in a relevant setting.
• Expertise in assessment, formulation, and intervention for a range of child psychological and developmental needs.
• Strong understanding of child development, learning processes, and educational systems.
• Excellent report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently (remotely) and as part of a multidisciplinary team in the South West England region.
