Senior Electrical Design Engineer - Renewable Energy

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design of renewable energy projects, including grid connections, power conversion systems, and BESS.
• Develop detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Conduct thorough power system analysis, including load flow, fault studies, and protection coordination.
• Specify and select major electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, and inverters.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and grid codes.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers within the design team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant professional experience (7+ years) in electrical design, with a strong focus on renewable energy systems .
• Expertise in power system analysis software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP, PSCAD).
• Deep understanding of AC/DC power systems, grid integration, and protection principles.
• Proven experience in managing electrical design aspects of large-scale projects.
• Excellent remote collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously.
