Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical designs, schematics, wiring diagrams, and specifications for power, lighting, and control systems.
• Perform load calculations, circuit design, and ensure compliance with relevant UK and international electrical standards.
• Utilise CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP) to produce high-quality design documentation.
• Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies for electrical installations, providing technical recommendations.
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and clients to ensure design intent is met throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and approve technical submittals from suppliers and contractors, ensuring quality and compliance.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience specifically in electrical design, encompassing both conceptual and detailed stages.
• Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD Electrical and knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of electrical building services, power distribution, and protection systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid team setting.
